The region has a wealth of wonderful golf courses, with four of them within 30 minutes of our apartment. A short description of them together with contact details for each course or link are listed below.

Situated in Moraira, on a country estate, the course has 6 par 3's and 3 par 4's, but the terrain and narrow fairways make this difficult and technical, for your par 60.

Built in 1974, this course is situated in the foothills of the Sierra mountain range. and has stunning scenery. Quite a tough course with some difficult holes to test you, especially the long 580 m 5th, however the views from the 3rd make it all worthwhile.

Located on a mountain slope, and next to the Montgo natural park, the course is surrounded by Mediterranean woodland so you will need to be accurate!

An 18 hole course, designed with the help of Jose Maria Olazabal, it is a varied and thought provoking course, where you will need to use all of the clubs in your bag.

Other Sports

Football

This part of Spain offers the choice of three Primera Liga sides to watch - Valencia, Villareal and Albacete all within 90 minutes travel time.

Valencia is the easiest to get to as it is served by rail links.

Swimming

A part from the apartments pool and of course the sea, a brand new indoor swimming pool is being built just down the road from our apartment, due to be completed in December 2005.

Tennis

Calpe tennis club is less than one kilometre from our complex. It has 8 floodlit clay tennis courts, available to the public. Equipment can be hired.

Bowling

Calpe offers both types. Ten pin bowling available at the end of our road and a public pay and play synthetic crown green rink available on the beach side promenade.

Sea Sports

Diving, sailing and sea fishing trips are available from the port. Other beach side events such as water skiing, windsurfing and hire of jet skis are all available along the beaches.

Walking

The nearby Montgo National Park can provide you with either gentle or tougher walks, with some stunning scenery along the way.
